A Tennessee resolution honoring the life of Charlie Daniels is one step closer to being adapted. On Tuesday (August 11th), the Tennessee Senate passed the resolution, SJR 8011, with a vote of 28 to 0. The resolution states, in part, "that we celebrate the life of Charlie Daniels, even as we mourn his passing, and reflect fondly upon his impeccable character and indelible legacy as one of the greatest and most enduring country music artists of his generation." Daniels died last month at the age of 83.
