Blake Shelton’s Hit With Gwen Stefani Was Not Meant To Be A Duet

Gwen Stefani was a last-minute addition to Blake Shelton’s #1 hit, “Nobody But You.”

According to Blake’s producer, Scott Hendricks, it wasn’t supposed to be a duet at all. Blake had already recorded the song, when the couple had the idea to add her vocals. She recorded her part in Hollywood about 2 weeks after Blake did his in Oklahoma.

Hendricks said, her vocals “fit like a glove, and it was super easy.”

“Nobody But You” was a #1 single in late April.
