Chris Janson's latest single, "Waitin' On 5,' is dedicated to and written about the average hard-working American. He co-wrote the song, which he tells us was written to take on a few meanings. [“‘Waitin’ On Five’ is a working man’s anthem. It is a 9 to 5’er ‘s song. It is the guy or girl who goes to work all week, and is literally waiting on 5 o’clock to roll around. Now, there’s a whole other sentiment of it too . . . waiting on 5 to get started on 6 . . . and we all know what that means. It could be 6 o’clock, it could be a 6-pack, it could really be whatever you want it to be.”] SOUNDCUE (:23 OC: . . . it to be.)
"Waitin' On 5' is the third single from Chris' Real Friends album. The previous two singles — "Good Vibes" and "Done" — climbed to Number One on the country charts.
