Dan + Shay's new hit single, "I Should Probably Go To Bed," was the result of the due's reunion at Dan Smyers' house after several weeks of quarantining separately. Shay Mooney and Dan had started the song earlier this year while in Los Angeles for the Grammy Awards, but may never have completed it if not for the COVID quarantine.
Shay tells us EXCLUSIVELY: ["We kind of finished the song in like 15 minutes. We just felt very inspired and just felt right and (we're) very thankful for that because I don't know if we would've finished the song if this quarantine didn't happen and everything kind of played out like it did, so this was one of those instances where obviously we're in an insane time right now, and unprecedented time in our country and in the world and this was one good thing that came out of this horrible year (laughs). I hate to say that but it's been a crazy, crazy year for everybody so (we're) very thankful for the good that's come out of all of this."] SOUNDCUE (:31 OC: . . . all of this.)
"I Should Probably Go To Bed" was just released last Friday (July 31st) and is already in the Top 25 and climbing on the country charts.
The song will be included on Dan + Shay's upcoming studio album which they are currently working on.
