Jason Aldean Was Drawn To ‘Throwback Feel’ Of Latest Hit

Jason Aldean seems to be closing in on his next Number One hit with "Got What I Got." It's the second single from his 2019 album, 9, and Jason tells us it has an older feel to it that he was immediately drawn to. ["I just thought it was cool, and I think 'You Make It Easy' was kind of like that. It kind of had a little bit of a throwback feel on it, too, and I think at this point, nine albums in, you're just trying to go in and do some things you feel like you haven't done before, you know, and it's a little hard when you're nine albums in. You feel like you've cut songs every kinda way you can cut 'em at this point, but I love the sound and the way it turned out, for sure."] SOUNDCUE (:25 OC: . . . out, for sure.)

"Got What I Got" sits at Number Four on the Mediabase chart this week.

The video stars Jason along with his wife, Brittany, and their two kids, toddlers Memphis and Navy.
