While yesterday (Tuesday, Sept. 1st) was an exciting day for those who found themselves nominated for the upcoming CMA Awards, it was equally upsetting for those who weren't. Kelsea Ballerini found herself absent from the list of nominees, and instead of staying quiet, she decided to share her thoughts on Twitter writing, "last time this happened, I wrote homecoming queen the next day about the feeling. something beautiful will undoubtedly come from the current disappointment. nonetheless, congratulations to my friends & peers that got nominations. proud to be a part of the country family, always."
Fans and artists alike responded to her tweet, with Old Dominion writing, "We see you," and Kane Brown adding, "Hold your head up."
Kelsea is, however, nominated for Female Artist of the Year at the ACM Awards on Sept. 16th in Nashville. She will also perform during the show, which airs on CBS beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
In other Kelsea news, she released the video to her latest single, "Hole In The Bottle," on Monday (August 31st).
