Maddie & Tae's new sophomore album, The Way It Feels, includes a duet with Dierks Bentley called “Lay Here With Me.” Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye co-wrote the song, and they said when they decided to add a male perspective, Dierks was the only one they had in mind.
Tae tells us EXCLUSIVELY: “Dierks is very special to us. He took us on our first tour ever and we had just released our first record I think so he took a risk and let us come on tour, and just the way that he treated us always made us feel very loved and noticed and when we wrote the song that he is on, 'Lay Here With Me,' after we were listening to it we just thought how cool would it be to have a male perspective help sing this song, and Dierks Bentley has one of our favorite voices in the industry.”
Maddie & Tae are currently in the Top 20 and climbing on the country charts with “Die From A Broken Heart,” the second single from The Way It Feels.
