Tenille Townes Wins Big At CCMA’s

Tenille Townes was among the big winners at Sunday (Sept. 27th) night's Canadian Country Music Awards. She took home three trophies for Female Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year (“Jersey On The Wall (I’m Just Asking)”) and Video of the Year (“Jersey On The Wall (I’m Just Asking)”). Tying as the night’s most awarded artist, Tenille is now an eight-time CCMA winner after receiving awards in all of her nominated categories. She also performed “Jersey On The Wall (I’m Just Asking)” during the broadcast live from Nashville.

Tenille said, “It’s an honour to be a part of this Canadian Country Music community and feel this belief. I’ve been watching CCMAs since I was a little kid, and this all feels so wonderful. I’m grateful this music is finding its way to people listening out there, especially ‘Jersey on the Wall’ this past year. Meant the world to play that song on the show!”

Earlier this month, Tenille won in two categories at the 55th ACM Awards — New Female Artist of the Year and Music Event of the Year for “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” with Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, Caylee Hammack and Elle King.
