The Brutal Truth
I read an article one time in which Roy Williams (the best-selling author of the “Wizard of Ads” series) defended his reputation for being called an “asshole.” Roy said he earned that reputation and was proud of it. In a way, I suppose I am as well.
Advertising and marketing is a cut-throat business. There’s only so much spendable income to go around and every business wants their fair share of it. Those who are aggressive want more than their fair share. You can’t achieve that by being Mr. Nice Guy. I’m the kind of guy who will tell you the honest truth about your advertising and marketing, without the sugar-coated bullshit. Does that make me an asshole? Perhaps, but only if you don’t want to hear the truth. Unlike some other media reps and some ad agency people, I’m not the kind of person who will blow smoke up your ass and tell you what you want to hear. Instead, I’ll tell you how to make your advertising more effective and how to achieve maximum results from your advertising dollar, whether it be on Radio, TV, newspaper, billboards or whatever. I have 49 years in advertising and marketing, but I’m constantly interacting with other professionals and learning new things every day. Things that can be put to work for your business. Things that can help you make more money.
As Roy Williams said, business is a brutal battle for increased market share and increased business. And in fighting such a battle, you want the meanest, fiercest, most hand-hitting guy on your side, not some smiling face who will take your money, but never really achieve anything for you, mostly because they’re just peddling advertising and have no idea how the various media really works. He’s absolutely right.
As a wise man once said… “if you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you always got.” Ready to take your business to the next level and get more? Call me. I can help.
Sincerely,
Larry Fuss

P.S. I’d never make a good politician. I can’t pander to people the way most politicians do. I’d be more like Donald Trump, saying what’s on my mind rather than spewing sugar-coated bullshit. Love him or hate him, The Donald shook up the political process with his hard-hitting, brutal honesty.
P.P.S. If you are offended by my language, I apologize. As I said, I’m not the sugar-coated type.
